Choose your Cap, Shaft and Base
One of the benefits of installing a precast concrete fence is that you can customise it and make it uniquely yours by interchanging the cap, shaft, base and the fence infills. It does not end up costing anymore either, as these moulds are all in stock and part of our standard range.
CastStone has been manufacturing precast concrete pillars, columns, letterboxes and trims for more than 30 years. In that time we have developed many moulds for different styles of buildings.
So whether you are looking for a heritage fence, a modern fence or a concrete fence for a commercial dwelling, we have a large range of caps, shafts, bases and infills to choose from and create the perfect framework for your property. Once we know the style, it is a matter of putting together the right pieces.
- Step 1: Select the cap, the very top of the pillar. These are available in heritage or modern designs with varying heights from a narrow flat cap to a 525mm pointed cap.
- Step 2: Select the shaft, the middle of the pillar. These are available in heights been 1.5-2.5 metres tall.
- Step 3: Select the base – these vary between 550mm to 825mm and can be cut to size. They also vary in footprint depending on whether you have a narrow or wider fence boundary.
Choosing the right fence dimensions for your home – height and width considerations
Determining the height of the resulting pillars depends on several factors with respect to your building. These factors are the size of the home or building, the size of the land that surrounds it, the land itself and whether it is flat or undulating, the purpose of the fence and the streetscape.
If you want security and privacy then you may want a high fence with electric steel gates. If you want a fence to frame your home you may consider making a statement with the entrance pillars and using open fence infills so that your garden and home can be seen from the street.
A sandstone concrete fence can be customised to suit your home perfectly and look unique without costing more. We work with our clients to find the perfect dimensions as a carefully designed and planned fence can enhance the beauty and presence of any home and building.
